Following the tremendous success of the All-Style Kata Seminar with World Champion Kakeru Nishiyama in May 2026, Reisky Martial Arts & Fitness is excited to bring another world-class karate athlete to British Columbia.
This October, we are proud to welcome Stanislav Horuna, Tokyo Olympics Bronze Medalist, World Championship Medalist, multiple Premier League Champion, European Champion, and one of the most accomplished and respected kumite athletes of the modern era, for an exclusive weekend of Olympic-level kumite training.
Whether you are preparing for the Canada Open, working toward Karate BC Provincial Team selection, targeting the 2027 Canada Winter Games, competing at the national level, or simply looking to elevate your kumite skills, this seminar offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from an Olympic medalist.
Participants will gain valuable insight into modern WKF kumite, including tactical decision-making, timing, distance control, movement, scoring strategies, and competition preparation. Athletes will experience the training methods used at the highest levels of international karate competition.
This seminar is also highly recommended for coaches. Stanislav will share practical, fun, exciting, and easy-to-teach drills that can be immediately incorporated into regular dojo training. Coaches will leave with new ideas and training concepts that can help develop athletes at all levels.
