Hello Everyone
Tomorrow, Friday November 7th is the last day to register for the Canada Open & BC Open Karate Championships. Please see below for details.
Karate BC is proud to announce an exciting two-day karate showcase at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Metro Vancouver, B.C. This event features the return of the internationally recognized Canada Open alongside the newly renamed BC Open.
BC Open – Saturday, November 22, 2025
Formerly part of the Canada Open’s recreational categories, this event has been newly renamed the BC Open in 2025. The rebranding enables Karate BC to better align each event to its participants and clearly differentiate the developmental categories from the elite-level Canada Open.
The BC Open is designed for recreational and developing athletes, offering participants the chance to:
• Compete in a welcoming, supportive environment
• Test their skills against athletes from across the country and internationally
• Focus on experience, learning, and fun
The BC Open is about building confidence, gaining valuable experience, and celebrating karate at the grassroots level.
Canada Open – Sunday, November 23, 2025
Sanctioned by Karate Canada and hosted by Karate BC, the Canada Open is one of Canada’s premier karate competitions. Elite athletes from across the country and internationally will compete at the highest level, making this an event not to be missed.
