Course Fee
  • Seminar for Karate BC Members – Free
  • Seminar for Non Karate BC Members – $40
  • Certification Fee – $20
Minimum Requirements
  • Provincial Judge C Certification: 3rd kyu, 14 yrs of age
  • Provincial Judge B Certification: 3rd kyu, 14 yrs of age
  • Provincial Judge A Certification: 1st kyu, 14 yrs of age – Perform one kata from own style
  • Provincial Referee Certification: Shodan, 16 yrs of age – Perform one kata from own style and one from another recognized style
Seminar Participant Instructions
  • An official’s uniform is not required for the clinic, casual wear.
  • Please study the WKF rules prior to the clinic and be prepared to discuss.
  • The clinic conductor will contact you to let you know when the exams will be completed and provide any required links.

  • WKF rulebook (can be digital)
  • Notebook, Pen &/or tablet/device
  • If attending in-person, bring water and/or snacks or lunch
  • Gi only necessary for those who are testing.
  • Wi-Fi capable device to complete the theory exam.
