The BC Winter Games are British Columbia’s premier multi-sport event, taking place every 2 years in a Host Community in B.C. This event is organized by the BC Games Society and Karate BC, and is primarily funded by the Province of British Columbia and through corporate sponsorship.
The City of Quesnel and the Lhtako Dene Nation will host the 32nd BC Winter Games from February 21-25, 2024. 1,800 athletes, coaches, and officials from 16 different sports, as well as 2,000 local volunteers are expected to participate in these Games.
The BC Games have evolved from being an event about participation to now focusing on athlete and sport development in communities across B.C. The BC Games encourages province-wide participation, and provides opportunities for sport participants to experience high-performance competition that may act as a springboard to National and International events, including National Championships, the Canada Games, the Pan American Games, and all the way up to the Olympic Games.

Referee Application
Karate BC is seeking applications from referees who wish to officiate at the karate competition at the Lhtako Quesnel 2024 BC Winter Games. Once again, the Junior Referee program will be offered for referees between the ages of 14 and 18. The application will close on December 31, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
