Dear Karate BC Members and Families,
The end of summer marks the start of a new membership year for Karate BC, which runs annually from September 1 to August 31.
As we continue to provide the best possible value and experience for our members, we also face the reality of rising costs. This year, Karate Canada has informed us that their portion of the membership fee will increase from $19 to $22 per member. At the same time, Karate BC’s own operational and event costs continue to rise.
To keep fees as low as possible, we have limited the adjustment to a $5 increase per member. Of this, $3 offsets the Karate Canada increase, and the remaining $2 is a modest contribution to help Karate BC manage growing costs while continuing to deliver strong programs and services.
Effective September 1, 2025, the new fees will be:
- Junior Colour Belts (15 & under): $55
- Senior Colour Belts (16 & over): $75
- Black Belts (All Ages): $90
- Club fees: $185
(All fees subject to 5% GST)
As a reminder, since 2024, the discount is no longer available.
Registration is done online through Trackie. Current members and registered clubs will receive a link to their pre-populated form containing data from the previous year. New members can use the link on our website located under the “Membership” tab.
We understand that any increase in fees can be a concern, and we want to assure you this decision was made with careful consideration. Karate BC will continue to work hard to find ways to minimize expenses and implement cost-saving measures, while ensuring we maintain the quality and value of our programs
Thank you for your continued understanding and support as we move forward together. Our commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and enriching karate community remains stronger than ever.
