Invitation to attend the 2025 Karate BC Annual General Meeting
We are pleased to invite you to the 2025 Karate BC Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be held virtually on:

Time: 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Why Your Participation MattersThe AGM is your opportunity to help shape the future of Karate BC. This annual event provides important updates on the organization’s work and finances, outlines plans for the year ahead, and ensures accountability through member involvement and Board elections. Your engagement strengthens our community and helps maintain strong
governance.
What to Expect
• Reports from the Board, staff, and committees
• Financial updates and review of the year’s achievements
• Announcement of election results (voting occurs in advance)
• An opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with leadership
Voting & Elections
• Voting will take place online between 21 and 3 days before the AGM.
• There will be no voting during the meeting itself.
• Ensure your membership is current to be eligible.
• The nomination period runs from 60 to 30 days before the AGM.
• No nominations will be accepted during the AGM.
Bylaw Requirements
• This notice fulfills the 60-day advance notice requirement.
• Per our Bylaws and the BC Societies Act, the AGM must be held by December 31.
• If quorum (30 Voting Members) is not met on October 26, we will reschedule with a new 60-day notice.
• The second meeting may proceed without quorum, provided it occurs before year-end.
