Sport programs that will be eliminated in the 2004/o5 budget include the
Athlete Assistance Program and funding to the Nationals Coaching

There will be cuts to the sport budget beyond the programs
being discontinued. The exact cuts for the 2002-03 fiscal year will not be
released until the budget is tabled on February 19, 2002. Cuts this year
are predicted to be modest, with the potential for larger cuts in 2003-04
